The United States (US) Assistant Secretary for African affairs will make a three-day visit to Uganda beginning March 7.
During the tour, Mr. Tibor Nagy will hold bilateral talks with Uganda’s President Yoweri Musevini after which he will hold a joint presser with U.S Ambassador to Uganda, Deborah Malac on March 9 at Serena Hotel.
“Assistant Secretary Nagy will provide opening remarks discussing his visit to Uganda and his planned meeting with President Musevini, and will then open up the floor for questions,” a statement issued by the US Embassy noted.
The envoy initially entered the US as a political refugee from Hungary back in 1957.
He has worked as the U.S Ambassador in Ethiopia, Guinea as well as Deputy Chief of Mission in Nigeria, Cameroon and Togo.
