Togo Opposition Commence Protest to End Gnassingbe’s Regime

Togolese opposition parties will commence another round of protest aimed at ending the regime of incumbent leader Faure Gnassingbe. The protest is scheduled to commence on Oct 4, 2017.

Gnassingbe’s dynasty has ruled Togo for the past 50 years. The main request of the coalition is for incumbent Faure Gnassingbe to leave power after 12 years in charge and end his current regime which he secured in 2015 and will run till 2020.

An advertisement of the march listed three points of convergence, Atikoume/ Akossombo, Etablissement CCP and Be-Gakpoto.
