South Sudan President Salva Kiir Mayardiit will not travel today to the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa where a final peace deal is expected to be signed tomorrow, Wednesday by the South Sudan warring parties.
South Sudan’s prominent opposition leader, Dr. Riek Machar has left the Sudanese capital Khartoum for Addis Ababa this morning according to several aides.
The leader of the South Sudan Opposition Alliance (SSOA) Gabriel Changson Lew has also left the Sudanese capital.
South Sudan Presidential Press Secretary told the Nyanilepedia that President will not travel to the Ethiopian capital today but will leaves on Wednesday pending preparation.
The Presidential Press Unit however said in as a respond to an inquiry by the Nyamilepedia that the President’s departure time and day has not yet be set and that they will inform the public when everything is completed.
“Traveling confirmation is not yet out. Once we confirm, we shall inform you immediately,” the Presidential Press Unit said in a writer message to the Nyamilepedia.
South Sudan parties are expected to ink a final revitalized peace agreement in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa on Wednesday after the summit of African heads of states and government.
