To strengthen relations with Ghana, the Russian federation has agreed to political dialogue as well as cooperate on various economic and investment projects. According to the foreign affairs ministry, Russia and Ghana are willing to make glaring contributions towards improving their current relations to a great extent as proven, by the congratulatory messages exchanged to mark the 60th anniversary of Russia- Ghana diplomatic relations.
The two diplomats agreed to improve trade, economic and cultural co-operation amongst themselves as Russian investors have spotted Ghana as the gateway to West Africa and therefore, the right place to invest in West Africa and Africa as a whole.
They also advised other Russian investors to grab hold on this golden opportunity to invest in Ghana for it’s the right time and the right place to be.
Madam Botchway said Ghana had one of the most attractive investment packages for foreign investors in Africa and that opportunities abound in nearly all the sectors of the economy including transportation, construction, real estate, banking, health, education, manufacturing, energy, agriculture and commerce. Considering that, many foreign countries have broadly engaged African countries in practically all sectors; Russia intends to do more bearing in mind Africa’s huge potential capabilities.
