The Netherland-based club, PSV Eindhoven, has unveiled their new acquisition, a Nigerian left-footed midfielder, Noni Madueke. The promising midfielder joined the Dutch Eredivisie club from English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur.
The young player was signed by the club in order to boost the number of young talents in their rank.
Madueke, the 16-year-old young star, has also been linked with a possible move to Chelsea and Manchester United before he strayed away from the premiership clubs to his current club, PSV, to formalize his transfer.
Madueke signed a three-year contract that will keep him in Netherland for at least four (4) years (till 2021). According to him, ”It has been a long day, but I am happy to be here at PSV Eindhoven. I think PSV is a great club with a great history. I feel it is a club where I can best develop myself as a young player. I just can’t wait to grow step by step and become a first-team player.”
Similar to the likes of Funso Ojo and Rabiu Ibrahim who enjoyed few seasons with the Dutch club before moving away from the club, Noni Madueke will be hoping to follow in the footsteps and also wish to succeed.
