Hon. Nomusa Dube-Ncube, the first woman to serve as Premier of KwaZulu-Natal, will be speaking at the 9th ALM Africa Summit. This prestigious event is scheduled to take place on the 4th – 5th of July 2024 at the UK House of Lords and Queen Elizabeth II Centre in Westminster, London, United Kingdom.
The summit’s theme, “Africa Unleashed – Navigating Disruptions, Enhancing Opportunities,” will gather influential leaders where Dube-Ncube will be among the speakers on the ALM Countries & State Governments Investment Opportunities Showcase discussing and exploring investment opportunities across African nations and states.
With a career spanning over a decade, Hon. Ms. Nomusa Dube-Ncube brings extensive expertise in regional governance finance, tourism, economic development, and investment strategies. She has been a driving force in spearheading various initiatives aimed at improving the welfare and security of the people of KwaZulu-Natal. One significant aspect of her contribution lies in her proactive approach towards addressing the alarming rise in crime rates within the province.
Dube-Ncube has made significant strides in addressing unemployment and economic empowerment in KwaZulu-Natal. Through initiatives aimed at job creation, business development, and improving service delivery in crucial areas such as water supply and housing, she has sought to enhance the quality of life for residents.
One of her key initiatives is the Thuthuka Driver Training Programme, which provides support for over 4,000 unemployed citizens to obtain learners’ and drivers’ licenses. This initiative is part of the broader S’thesha Waya Waya campaign aimed at creating job opportunities and equipping individuals with the skills needed for meaningful employment.
