Nomvula Paula Mokonyane Makes Africa Power 100 at IFAL 2024

New York, USA – At the prestigious gathering of the 2024 International Forum on African-Caribbean Leadership (IFAL), held at the Harvard Club of New York City, Her Excellency Nomvula Paula Mokonyane, Deputy Secretary-General of the African National Congress (ANC), South Africa, is listed on the distinguished Africa Power 100 list. This recognition highlights her outstanding contributions to political leadership, social advocacy, and nation-building in South Africa and across the continent.

 

In addition to being honoured on the Africa Power 100 list, H.E. Mokonyane serves as a speaker at the forum, delivering a keynote address on “Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships for Sustainable Development.” Her leadership in championing gender equality, social justice, and inclusive governance cements her as a key figure in shaping South Africa’s political landscape.

With decades of experience in public service and leadership within the ANC, Nomvula Mokonyane has been a prominent advocate for social reform, economic equity, and environmental sustainability. Her tenure in various government positions, including as Minister of Environmental Affairs and Minister of Water and Sanitation, demonstrates her commitment to addressing critical issues like resource management, poverty alleviation, and women’s empowerment.

As the Deputy Secretary-General of the ANC, H.E.
