The Prime Minister of Mozambique Carlos Agostinho do Rosario has called on all Mozambicans in the diaspora to promote the government’s undertaken towards securing lasting peace in the country.
He said this during a recent visit to Addis Ababa when he met with the Mozambican community resident in Ethiopia and explained the efforts being made by the President to promote peace.
According to the prime minister, talks have been going on between President Filipe Nyusi and the leader of the Renamo rebels, Afonso Dhlakama on the needs of all Mozambicans to cease from violence.
“We want Mozambicans to feel there is no need to use violence to solve their problems”, said Rosario.
As a result of the ongoing agreement, they have concluded on a truce with hopes to move to full peace.
