· Morocco and Japan pledged to strengthen bilateral relations in transport field.

Morocco begins the year in what looks like a spirit to boost the country’s economy by venturing into strengthening bilateral ties between neighboring and foreign countries.
Following the diverse meetings held between the country’s ministers and their counterparts, it explains a conscious decision to strengthen both new and existing corporations.
Having shared common interest and willingness for friendly bilateral corporations there is hope for a promising future for morocco and the other countries.
Recently, discussions held between Moroccan Minister of Equipment, Transportation, Logistics and Water, Mr. Abdelkader Amara and Japanese State Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, Takao Makino, concerning bilateral cooperation in the transport sector.
As regards details of the meeting, the Moroccan minister, Mr. Amara disclosed in a statement the ongoing agreed cooperation between Morocco and Japan in transport infrastructure.
He explains further, declaring Tokyo’s willingness to create channels for bilateral investment and training and exchange of expertise.
Speaking of investment, the minister mentioned that some Japanese firms have expressed intention for partnership with morocco.
Meanwhile, on Tuesday 9, January, Moroccan State Secretary for Housing, Fatna El Khiel met with India’s ambassador to Morocco, Kheya Bhattacharya, and the duo held discussions, concerning the housing situation in both countries.
Both parties came to terms on solutions for the housing situations in the two countries having shared their countries experience in the areas of social housing and the fight against the inadequate and poor housing.
According to Bhattacharya, he said that details of the meeting will reinforce the South-South cooperation and recalled the visit paid by King Mohammed VI to India in October 2015, which was of a “great importance.”
“A joint working group will be set up to focus on the main areas of collaboration between Moroccan and Indian departments in charge of the housing sector, with the aim of strengthening bilateral cooperation in this field,” commented the Secretary of State.
Moreover, there is also an emerging relationship between the Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and its South African counterpart to flag off bilateral engagement following discussions that ensued between Morocco’s King Mohammed VI and President of South Africa Jacob Zuma during the 5th African Union-European Union Summit held in Abidjan, last November.
However, Malawi is not left out in the whole bilateral spree, having concluded two deals with the country on enhancing agricultural cooperation in both countries.
The Economic cooperation between Morocco and these countries holds a promising future which is expected to birth significant growth in the country’s economy and open more partnerships.
