Cyril Ramaphosa is the current chair of the AU, and has galvanized collaborations among other African leaders and institutions in the fight against COVID-19.
He suspended a minister for breaking lockdown rules, and has led South Africa into flattening the curve – one of the few countries to have achieved that. And only recently, he spoke in defense of WHO president, Ethiopian Tedros Adhanom, against seemingly undue attacks on the WHO President.
