World renowned recording and performing artist, Shane Dean and Global Marketing and entertainment, LLC. present the ‘Thirst for Water: Journey to Ghana’ concert series, a charitable, musical opening event to be held on December 14th, 2013 at the Yonkers Public Library Auditorium in Yonkers, New York.
With support from the Ghanaian Embassy in Washington D.C., New York, Ghanaian Consulate—New York, 3G Media, Stop the Violence, Save the Future Project and National Council of Ghanaian Associations, the event will feature top musical talent, performing artists and noted celebrities from Ghana, and other destinations throughout the world in order to bring awareness to the need for clean water supply and supporting infrastructure throughout Ghana. “Our efforts encompass more than just constructing another water well in Africa,” said Ulric Kelly, Co-founder of Global Marketing and Entertainment, “we are seeking local, viable solutions in water filtration to promote self-empowerment for Ghanaians in remote regions.” “In the same spirit, we looked to collaborate with a self-made multi-talented entertainer to bring awareness to the water crisis in Ghana which led us to our Water Ambassador to Ghana, Mr. Shane Dean.”
This will mark the first performances in the ‘Thirst for Water’ concert series, hosted by MC Papa Linc, to commence at 7pm with a red carpet publicity event. A hiphop, afrobeat and traditional music concert featuring dance performance by the New York Azonto Group A talented line up of live performances to feature international artists, BNice, Nana NYC, Sammy Khaki, Cojo Tee, along with gospel performances by Joceyline Baddoo, Linda Ebenezer Assembly choir and the Gospel Ambassadors. A surprise guest dance performance will segue into the highly anticipated performance by Mr. Shane Dean. The headliner will be featured in three musical events leading up to the finale
concert on World Water Day, March 22, 2015 in Accra, Ghana.
