The president of Ghana Nana Addo Akufo-Addo has recently lamented over the destruction of 14,420 hectares of land and 12,802 affected hectares of land caused by the infestation of armyworms.
This unbearable situation has also led to the destruction of farmlands and crops in Ghana and across Africa, said the president.
In the light of this devastating attack, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has ordered the release of 72,774 litres of insecticides to deal with the situation of armyworm infestation in many parts of Ghana.
He has also proclaimed that his government will be committed to putting an end to the disaster and will recruit extension officers to assist farmers in all stages of farming.
