Accra, Ghana — March 26, 2025 — The African Leadership Council (ALC), an initiative of the African Leadership Organisation and publisher of African Leadership Magazine UK, and African Energy Infrastructure, is pleased to announce the appointment of Daniel Asiedu as its new Country Head for Ghana.
Asiedu is a distinguished banker, chartered accountant, and development finance expert with over 30 years of experience in financial management, business consulting, and investment. Known for his transformative leadership, he brings valuable expertise and strategic vision to the African Leadership Council.
In his new role, Asiedu will lead the Council’s efforts to promote visionary leadership, drive sustainable development, and foster impactful collaborations in Ghana. His leadership will enhance the Council’s initiatives by connecting key stakeholders from government, business, and civil society to spur innovation and create lasting impact.
Commenting on the appointment, Dr. Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete, Chairman of the African Leadership Council, stated:

Dr Asiedu is the current Managing Director of OmniBSIC Bank Ghana, where he plays a pivotal role in strengthening the bank’s operations, achieving full capitalisation, and sustained profitability within three years. He has also held key leadership positions, including Managing Director of the Agricultural Development Bank (ADB) and Zenith Bank Ghana, earning widespread recognition for his transformative impact in the banking sector.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Asiedu is an ordained minister and a strong advocate for ethical leadership and community development. His appointment as ALC’s Country Head in Ghana marks a significant step in the Council’s mission to foster exemplary leadership across the continent.
