Bank Empowers Youths with ICT Skills

The Dreamville Initiative was recently launched by the Diamond Bank to empower the Nigerian youths in the field of ICT.

The digital educational platform as explained by the Managing Director of the Bank, Mr Uzoma Dozie is designed to go beyond the basic learning process of English and Mathematics that is taught in schools but will also create an environment where students will be empowered with technology skills that would be beneficial to the country’s digital economy.

He added that the platform is designed for students with the ages of 13 and 35 equipping them with the necessary skill sets and make them better employees when they venture into the corporate world.

Mr Ayodeji Omole, the new Business Lead at Gam Sole said “The platform has account features, animations and videos, comics and games, integrated with social media platforms,” and added that every interested student can access every feature of the platform.

The platform will utilize a point system which would give the students bragging rights, as the leaderboard will show the number of points and all progress made during the learning period. There will also be contests and tournaments held occasionally with cash prizes and gifts rewards for deserving students.

Head, Youth Segment, Diamond Bank, Mrs Adaeze Umeh has also pointed that the bank will remain focused and aims to enroll over one million Nigerians within one year through the platform.

She added that the platform features a savings column, access to bank accounts, and other fun-filled features.
