ABOUT
The African Public Service Forum is designed as a platform for sustaining the conversation on building a strong and virile public services sector in Africa. It is an avenue for shared experiences and best practices for public accountability in the continent’s public sector.
The public sector in Africa has witnessed a plethora of reforms in varying degrees, aimed at making the state effective, efficient, accountable, responsive and productive, which are the key ingredients and necessary conditions for development. However, the intersection and synergies, between the reforms and the continent’s quest for development are usually poles apart, owing largely to the lack of political will to fully implement the white papers that are often produced after such exercises, among other reasons.
