Casablanca, Morocco, February 21 – 22, 2025 – Dr. Seinye Lulu-Briggs, Chairman, Moni Pulo Group, Nigeria, has been presented with the African Philanthropist of the Year Award at the prestigious 14th African Leadership Magazine Persons of the Year (POTY) Ceremony, held at the Casablanca Marriott Hotel, Morocco, from February 21–22, 2025.

Dr. Seinye Lulu-Briggs has been recognised for her exemplary leadership, unwavering commitment and her dedication to advancing socio-economic development in Nigeria. She is a top figure on the O.B. Lulu-Briggs Foundation, a leading Nigerian NGO with a mission to enhance the well-being of the under-served working through interventions in elder care, health, education, economic empowerment, water & sanitation, agriculture and humanitarian services which has had significant impact on the broader African continent.
The African Leadership Magazine Persons of the Year (POTY) Ceremony is an annual flagship event that brings together policymakers, business leaders, civil society actors, and thought leaders from across Africa and beyond. The event serves as a platform to celebrate outstanding African leaders who are making significant contributions to the continent’s growth and development.
The 14th edition of the event also honoured other distinguished leaders, including:
