Casablanca, Morocco, February 21 – 22, 2025 – Helen Oritsejafor, Nigerian Philanthropist & Businesswoman, Nigeria, has been awarded with the African Female of the Year award at the prestigious 14th African Leadership Magazine Persons of the Year (POTY) Ceremony, held at the Casablanca Marriott Hotel, Morocco, from February 21–22, 2025.

Oritsejafor has been recognised for her trailblazing contributions to Africa’s philanthropic efforts. She has over 30 years of extensive knowledge and experience in the business sector, both domestically and abroad. She was a director of a Nigerian bank for a while, ran a road construction company, and collaborated with NGOs and multinational corporations. In addition to her operational achievements, she serves as a mentor to millions of individuals worldwide and the broader African continent.
The African Leadership Magazine Persons of the Year (POTY) Ceremony is an annual flagship event that brings together policymakers, business leaders, civil society actors, and thought leaders from across Africa and beyond. The event serves as a platform to celebrate outstanding African leaders who are making significant contributions to the continent’s growth and development.
