A Legacy of Inclusive Education and Advocacy
Since her appointment as Special Envoy for Families and Children in January 2021, Briceño has championed numerous initiatives that have significantly impacted education, health, and social welfare in Belize. Among her contributions are programs supporting students with disabilities, such as providing specialised Chromebooks for visually impaired students and creating a scholarship program benefiting 18 high school students annually.
Advocacy for gender equality and social change

Her advocacy also focusses on improving the health and welfare of Belizean citizens, including efforts in cervical cancer screening and mental health awareness. Her leadership has been instrumental in revising the Health and Family Life Education curriculum and advancing social programs aimed at empowering Indigenous women through financial literacy and training.
The Global Female Impact Leadership Award recognises women leaders who have made substantial contributions to their communities and beyond through visionary leadership and impactful governance.
