President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with His Highness the Crown Prince of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, on the sidelines of the Jeddah Regional Summit with the United States of America on Saturday, said Egyptian Spokesman for the Presidency in a statement.
President El-Sisi underlined the special characteristics of the firm relations between the two countries and the common fate and destiny they share. The President stressed Egypt’s keenness on further enhancing the firm and outstanding cooperation between the two countries across various levels, the statement said.
This seeks to solidify security, stability and development at the regional level and comes for the benefit of the two peoples and the Arab nation. This is, in addition to the intense coordination with Kuwait regarding developments in the Middle East, in light of the Egyptian-Kuwaiti cooperation and coordination which constitute a fundamental pillar to achieving regional stability and a cornerstone of the priorities and fundamentals of the Egyptian policy, the statement added.
The Crown Prince of Kuwait confirmed Kuwait’s appreciation for Egypt’s leadership and people, in light of the profound and firm relations and solid historic bonds the two countries share, the statement continued,
This is, in addition to the important role of the Egyptian community in the construction and development process in Kuwait, as a bridge connecting the two peoples. He added that, therefore, Kuwait is keen on strengthening cooperation with Egypt across all levels, and on enhancing periodic coordination and consultations on various issues.
The Kuwaiti Crown Prince valued Egypt’s key role in the region as a cornerstone for security and stability in the Arab world, and its commitment to bolstering solidarity among Arab states and to strengthening joint Arab action, the statement said.
President Sisi asked for his greetings to be conveyed to His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
