The First Lady of Liberia, Clar Marie Weah, has restated her commitment to giving her unflinching support to the growth and development of the female gender in the country, as well as ensuring that they become confident and productive leaders for the future.
H.E Mrs. Weah disclosed her plans to aid the growth of young girls with proper guidance during an interactive session with a group of female students from the ELWA Academy in Paynesville. She also assured of her commitment to care for and give to them the requisite support she was not opportune to receive while growing up as a child.
Acting in her capacity as the Mother of the Nation, the Liberian First Lady is determined to help the female gender improve and find a footing in the country through concerted efforts. She commended the parents of the girls she interacted with and the school authorities for their consistent support and input to develop the girls.
Also, spurring the students to do more, H.E Mrs. Weah encouraged the gathering of female students ranging from ages 11 to 14 to continue to pursue their education, daring to lead while being respectful, humble, and hardworking.
She noted in her remarks that she was highly impressed by the eloquence and self-confidence which the students expressed when she first met them, hence her drive to work with them in instilling similar qualities in other girls within the country.
