Newly elected President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Pinnick, Wednesday got the stamp of legitimacy from world football governing body, FIFA, following the congratulatory message sent to the new Nigerian football helmsman .
In the letter signed by FIFA President, Sepp Blatter, and made available to THISDAY Wednesday, the former Swiss army colonel congratulated Pinnick and promised a good working relationship with him in order to lift the game in the country.
“I would like to extend my sincere congratulations and best wishes of success on the occasion of your election as the new president of the Nigeria Football Federation.
“Your knowledge and experience will certainly have an important impact on the stable development of our beautiful game in your country. You can rely on my personal support and FIFA’s assistance in order to reach this goal.
“The doors of the Home of FIFA are open whenever you wish to discuss any relevant issues concerning the game and its governance.
“I wish you good luck, strength and every success for your new role and look forward to meeting you soon,” Blatter stated.
Shortly after his election on Tuesday, Pinnick promised to build on the leadership quality of the immediate past administration led by Alhaji Aminu Maigari.
