Following the death of Kenyan academic and notable social media voice Calestous Juma, tributes have continued to pour in from notable Africans. Like when he was alive, news about him continue to provoke responses.
Rwanda’s President Paul Kagame expressed his condolence through his Twitter handle:
“Saddened to hear of the passing of Prof Calestous Juma. We have lost a brilliant mind who was dedicated to innovation, education and Africa’s prosperity. Condolences to his family and friends. May he rest in peace.”
According to President Uhuru Kenyatta of Kenya, “Earlier this evening, I learned of the death of Professor Calestous Juma with profound dismay. We have lost one of our most distinguished scholars and patriots.”
Prof. Juma was at the Harvard University and was listed on the inaugural list of “2017 Most Reputable People on Earth” according to a local newspaper in Kenya.
